How IG12 took shape.
IG12 did not begin as a plan for a consultancy. It accumulated: through engineering, philosophy, doctoral research, and work that increasingly moved from technical problems towards the systems around them. The route was not linear, but each stage changed what I thought a problem was and what it meant to resolve one.

Who
IG12 is an independent research consultancy. Abdelkawy Abdou is IG12's Founder and Principal Researcher — a researcher trained through engineering, philosophy and a doctorate, working across data, spatial analysis and research infrastructure. He also leads the design, development and technical implementation of IG12's research instruments and infrastructure.
